weekend of 6.November

Moria came to Ilmenau!

I had made plans with Michelle in my class to go to a party on Friday during the week, but on Friday night she started to not feel good, so I was canceled on. I then was on the phone with Moria and asked her what she was doing. She had nothing going one, so she hoped on the next train to Ilmenau. She and I had a ton of fun that weekend. We picked her up from the train station in Arnstadt because there is no direct train from her train station (Saalfeld) to Ilmenau, and her host mom was not ready to let her change trains because she didn’t want her to get lost. She exited from the train and I ran and gave her a big hug! I hadn’t seen her for a while, but we had begun a message on facebook telling ach other everything that we were doing every single day. (Hence on why I haven’t been writing my blog so often.) We then went on to the house. When we got there we had cake and coffee. It was a special Weihnachten (Christmas) cake that was made with gluewein. (Normally when you drink it, it is a hot wine.) After cake and coffee, Moria and I went up to my room and started to have Glee marathon. I love that show very very much! When took a break after about 3 episodes for dinner. Then after dinner my little sisters went to bed and Moria and I stayed with my host parents downstairs to talk and watch some TV. When our heads started to hurt from all the translating of the German TV we went up to my room and continued to watch Glee! We were up almost the whoel night trying to watch all the episodes before she has to go home the next day. The next morning we got up and ate breakfast with my family. I always love breakfast on the weekends because its bread with anything you really want. I usually have marmalade or Nutella. My host mom had planned to go to the aquarium that day with us, but my little host sisters got in trouble for waking up at 6 am and pounding on my host parents door saying it was time to get up. Moira and I were tired that day from staying up late and pretty much just chilled and talked for the rest of the time. It was really nice to just have fun with someone I can truly call a friend!
